How Typing Accuracy is Measured
Accuracy is the percentage of words you typed correctly out of all words you attempted:
Accuracy = (Correct words ÷ Total words) × 100
Why accuracy matters more than raw speed
At 95% accuracy, 1 in 20 words is wrong. In a 60-WPM typist's output that's 3 errors per minute — errors that must be corrected, slowing effective output. True productivity comes from the combination of speed and accuracy, not speed alone.
